How To Download File From Your Server With Linux Command Securely?

This topic is only intended for download your file (one file only) from your server to your computer with Linux command but also come with addition secure method that who prefer with non GUI (command only) for security reason.

To do that, you just only type a format command line like this for example:

user2@test ~ $ scp -P 1234 [email protected]:/home/user1/file.tar.gz /home/user2/Downloads/file.tar.gz

Description:

scp (secure copy). This is command for downloading your file with secure method

-P 1234 (format command -P your_port_number) Add this option only if you set your port connection for hardening SSH security reason.

* [email protected]:/home/user1/file.tar.gz (format command user1@host1:your_file_location_server) This is for location your file server that you want to download your file.

* /home/user2/Downloads/file.tar.gz (format command user2@host2:your_file_location_computer) This is for location your file computer that is result after you download file from your server. For format command user2@host2:  you don’t need to add this command since already included "user2@test:" when you open an application command line.
